Description Of Facilities
The
Civic and Cultural Zone (CCZ) of
the Integrated Hub @ one-north’s combination of a main performing arts auditorium, multi-purpose hall, outdoor amphitheatre and special function room provides a suite of venues for a wide range of activities. Each of these venues can be rented and used separately or as a main event venue with break-out areas, for example a bio-med conference can rent the auditorium for its main conference meeting, the multi-purpose hall for break-out discussions and the special function room for VIP receptions.
The 5,000-seat performing arts auditorium will be fitted with cutting-edge audio, video and production lighting systems, providing a world-class experience for a wide range of amplified music and speech events, large-scale musical theatre and dance performances. Designed to offer first-class sightlines, acoustics and audience comfort, the auditorium will have the potential to do live broadcasts, and is supported by a complement of public, artist and technical support spaces.
The multi-purpose hall is ideal for seminars, banquets, and smaller scale performances, and can be partitioned into smaller rooms if necessary. The hall will be equipped with sophisticated sound and video systems, designed to operate on its own or connected to an event taking place in the main auditorium.
The outdoor amphitheatre and music venue will be equipped to host movie screenings or cosier arts/music performances, or to connect to the event in the main auditorium, while the special function room, tucked away on the top level of the building and with access to a rooftop garden, is a great place to host private functions.
Utilisation Of Facilities
The projected programme schedule for the
CCZ of the Integrated Hub @ one-north anticipates a 75 per cent venue utilisation by high-quality local and international touring productions for up to the first five years of operation.
The
CCZ of the Integrated Hub @ one-north has already secured an anchor tenant for its venues. New Creation Church will use the main auditorium, multi-purpose hall, outdoor amphitheatre and special function room for its church meetings every Sunday, and possibly, on one weekday night.
Performing Arts Auditorium
For popular concerts, large-scale musical theatre productions, dance performances, and conventions — top international and local acts, for example Jacky Cheung, Coldplay, Air Supply, Riverdance and Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress; televised events such as the National Day Rally, MTV Asia Awards, Singapore Idol finals and Miss Singapore Universe.
