A crucial milestone for the Integrated Civic, Cultural, Retail & Entertainment Hub (Integrated Hub) @ Vista Xchange of one-north — the official ground-breaking — took place on the morning of 30 October 2008. The ceremony which was jointly hosted by Rock Productions Pte Ltd (Rock) and CapitaLand Limited (CapitaLand) marks the beginning of the construction of the iconic Integrated Hub.
More than 100 guests comprising Singapore Government officials, property analysts, the media, practitioners from the local and international arts and entertainment industries, as well as CapitaLand’s tenants and business associates, were gathered to celebrate this event.
Strategically sited in the up-and-coming locale of Vista Xchange, the Integrated Hub comprises a Retail and Entertainment Zone, and a Civic and Cultural Zone. The Retail and Entertainment Zone, owned and managed by CapitaLand Retail, is expected to be completed by end-2011, while the Civic and Cultural Zone, owned and managed by Rock, is scheduled for completion in mid-2012.
Beyond the milestone of the ground-breaking, there will be much to do before the official opening, such as strategic planning to market the venue, provide for the management and staffing needs, establish the services, technical and operations teams and much more. Rock and CapitaLand will also be working to develop and establish the all-important name and logo for the venue.
